Hi there!
I'm a girl from Romania. I was in Rome with my mom and boyfriend for 6 days and it was wonderful. And very hot, 36 degrees during the day.
We wanted to stay near Termini station, so we booked the apartment RMBB117. It was about 15 min, by foot, from Termini. On the web site was written that there were 800m from Termini till the apartment, and it took us about 15-20min to get there, a little bit too much i might say, especially at 25-30 degrees in the morning and late in the evening when we were going back home (it wasn't dangerous at all, as far as I heard).
The room was nice and clean, big, modern equipped with a double and single bed, with our own toilet with shower. There was enough space in the room. We had TV and air-conditioner.
Everybody was nice, polite and friendly ( the owner and the cleaning lady and also people from the supermarket, station, on the street). The Italian people are so friendly. It is also true that it was easier for me because i could speak their language. A very romantic language indeed :)
We had breakfast every morning: tea, milk, coffee, jam, butter, toasted bread and croissants. Of course, it was good, but after 2 days you'll want to eat something else :)
Our holiday was very pleasant, but we were very tired after that. Each day we were out for about 12 hors, and just for visiting. They have too many beautiful things to see and in 6 days you cannot see all. We've seen the Vatican, San Pietro Cathedral, Pantheon, squares, like Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese with it's beautiful gardens, Fontana di Trevi, La Bocca della Verita, Castello di Saint'Angelo, etc. Of course, Rome is lovely by night. It is very crowded by night, all the tourists(from all over the worl) go out, walking, serving dinner till 1 o'clock in the night. The atmosphere was super :)
My advice: go there and see with your own eyes :)
