When you're paying less than 75 Euros for a room on the Naples waterfront you shouldn't expect anything special; which is what you get at this hotel. However, there is nothing terrible here either. Yes, the entrance is all but invisible, the hotel one floor above street level (with a very antique elevator) and the staff almost exclusively Italian speaking -you are 200 feet from the Mediterrenian. The rooms are small but clean although the showers are somewhat improvised. While the staff don't speak much English they are very helpful and make a mean cup of coffee in the morning. Relax, you're in Napoli and near some of the city's best seafood restaurants and pizzarias. If you want luxury and ambiance this near the water try the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia, and be prepared to pay 3 times as much.
