I booked for 4 nights Sunday to Thursday B& B., I went past the hotel 5 times in a hire car- There are NO visible signs that it is a Hotel - NO Name is shown on the outside. The rooms are adequete, the bed matras is like being on concrete. The breakfast is barely warm- therefore in my opinion NOT eatable, unless you want a 'Spanish Tummy' The Hotel is by far NOT worthy of 3*** its more like a 1* In most of the area- YOU do need a car- it is very reasonble to hire for the week, and the roads are very easy to drive on the right side. I CHECKED out after 48 hours to find an other hotel. I went to Gaurdamar even though I had business around the Villamartin area- What a differnce in the Parquemar Hotel 4**** excellent service and quality of the rooms and the food was HOT- It cost an extra 5Euros per night - NO COMPARISON, and the bathroom had all the accessories[Shampoos etc] the Torrejovan had nothing?
My advise is DO NOT USE THIS DUMP of a Hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for a week - end of Oct into Nov 2007.
The hotel is NOT in Torrevieja but about 5km from the town just off a busy main road. It is about 10 minutes walk from a rocky beach , but no facilities there. (ice cream , drinks , tiolets etc).
We were lucky and had hired a car at the airport - if you stay here a car is essential. The room was adequate with plenty of storage space - a fridge and a good keycode safe. Bathroom was large and had an excellent shower. Rooms were tidied every day and towels replaced each day.
We were next door to a real snorer - absolutely no sound proofing whatsoever and at one point I thought he was taking a bath in our bathroom. Sadly my wife didn't keep me awake all night - he did!
We stayed half board - glad we didn't take the kids as food was awful - apart from anything else it was cold. Fresh fruit was battered , bruised and over ripe, not appealing. Having said that we always found something to eat - we just got fed and got outta there! Not the cleanest but staff were fine and helpful.
The outdoor pool is cut into the ground in quite a recess and therefore could not sunbathe there.
The disco/nightclub, attached to the hotel, did not effect us but in high season I imagine this will cause some problems with noise.
We hardly paid anything to stay here for the 5 nights and it's just as well really. Would I go back? Not to the Torre Joven, but as I said if you have a limited budget and aen't fussed by cold food and the chap next door then go for it! I booked with WSH travel on their website and paid just over 160 quid total for 5 nights half board - less than a travel lodge in the UK.

Just got back, stayed end of Oct 07. We booked for 8 nights but left early and paid for another hotel because this place is a dump! The pool was like a dirty fish bowl, also the pool area is below ground level so never gets the sun! The room was tiny, the beds smaller than a single bed, the bath 3ft long! The elevator doesn't feel safe, there isn't a beach for miles (the sea isn't far away but no beach).
The food is terrible, even in the "bar" down stairs. There is a disco under the hotel, which to be fair wasn't that bad, but empty. I don't have enough room to list all the bad points.
We left and went to Hotel La Zenia down the road which was a lot more expensive, but well worth it. PLEASE DON'T GO!

stayed at torrejoven end of july with our 2 children ,
room was fine apart from fridge not working.well to start my wife had her hand bag stolen with both of our passports ,this was around 9 30 pm ,we told reception ,they didnt want to know ,if your planning on staying there please dont leave your hand bag aanywhere other than on your lap,people who are not staying in the hotel just walk in and out all the time and most of them are very suspect,there is no security and know one seems to matter about this .there are lots of waifs and strays coming and going all the time.be very carefull with your personal belongings.pool was filthy ,noise from the night club which is actually in the hotel but mainly used by the locals was very loud and was like that untill 5am so make sure you are not in the left side of hotel,
