“Don't trust any positive reviews about this hovel”

i went to the rosaire with my kids, and my sisters family in 2007. i was just reading some reviews passing time and thought i should give people an idea about the hotel so they can either avoid or rebook elsewhere.
1. the rooms are small, dirty and the beds are full of fleas, my sister was covered in bites and we were on the 11th floor, balcony is tiny and feels a bit unsafe

2. the food is absolutely disgusting, we ate in it about 4 or 5 times until we just couldn't stomach it any longer. john and josephs is cheep and cheerful and just across the street so if you're on a budget you can eat there.

3. the pool area is very small for a big hotel, no pool bar so you have to get dried off to go in for a drink and there were people slipping everywhere as the floor was all wet from people coming in from the pool area.

4. the alcoholic drinks are so watered down that you might as well just drink juice. the only thing you can get any kind of kick off is the horrible tasting wine they serve at meal times.

5. the entertainment is an absolute joke, a spanish guy on a keyboard singing. that's the only entertainment on offer and believe me he is absolutely terrible. i can't sing a note and my kids and sister said they'd rather listen to me than him.

6. here's the only good thing. the location is perfect. lots of nightlife all around and the beach is only a couple of minutes away.

honestly i'm not one to moan and i've never written a bad review about a hotel before but please do yourself a favour and DO NOT book this hotel. We went to the Tanit in Ibiza the following year for about the same price and it was like going from a hostel to a luxury oasis.

“had a fab time as it was first time away abroad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

Me and my sister with my nan and grandad actually went on this holiday in about the summer of 2003. We had no problems with this hotel because from what i remember the rooms were clean and roomy with a nice balconey to sit on when relaxing. The staff were freindly and helpful. The excursions were great i most enjoyed the medieval banquit trip was was great. The food was great i had never seen such a fast range of food on a holiday i cleared my plate every meal. The beach was really nice when we went there. We also went to Benidorm old town and that was also really nice. people who are thinking about comeing here should do so please ignore the bad remarks as even though i was still a child i had a great time and would definately go again. All those people who had somthing to complain about should get a life nothing can ever be perfect.

“Great for miserable people!!”

Well, where do I start. I went with my mum for a week all inclusive. We chose this hotel as the photo's looked nice on the web site but how deceiving. When we arrived, we weren't able to check in until 3pm so we had to sit outside for nearly 3 hours and wait for the room. When we finally got into our room, we couldn't believe how poor it actually was. The air con didn't work, the bathroom was falling to bits along with the drawers and wardrobe. The satellite TV consisted of world news so if your not English you'll have loads of stuff to watch!! The restaurant was also very poor, dividing English guests into one side and the Spanish guests on the other (I thought you could sit where you like in a restaurant!). Breakfast was a choice of three cereals or a fry up, lunch and diner served a small salad bar and a choice of three different types of hot food (something spanish, meat and veg or chips). In-between meal times, the choice from the snack bar was either a burger, hotdog or toastie. During our 7nts stay, we ate in the restaurant all of four times!! We booked all inclusive so that we could have a few drinks around the bar before heading out. The 'Rosaire Tavern' did not open during our stay so the only bar that was open was the one at the front of the hotel. As this is open to anyone, it got busy quite early on. Every holiday I've every been on, I always get chatting to people and have a laugh. Absolutely no chance to do that at this hotel as no one speaks to each other. I've never seen so many miserable people in one place EVERY!! The evening entertainment was a country and western singer which attracted a very large group of line dancers EVERYNIGHT!! We had to queue for the bar constantly and when we did finally get a drink, we were devastated to find that the local alcohol was watered down. We ended up paying for drinks which we didn't expect to do staying all inclusive. On our last night, we were told by the 1 barman that the hotel was due to close down and a lot of the staff had actually been sacked. This explained why we were constantly queuing at the bar. The pool area of the hotel is very small and because of the position of the hotel, is in the shade by 2pm. Great if you don’t want a suntan, we opted for the beach everyday. The only good thing I can actually say about this hotel is the location..Close to the beach (which was good as it got us away from the dive of a hotel) and it was right at the top of the main strip of bars. I've stayed in some bad hotels but this is by far the WORST. Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!
