This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My girlfriend and I (aged 27 & 30) from the very moment we entered the hotel were made to feel uncomfortable by the arrogant and pretentious staff. The hotel resembled some kind of gothic church with a morbid and depressing décor. Following the trail of horrible stained glass windows preventing the natural sunlight from brightening the corridors, our room was stumbled upon in the very furthest corner of the building. Entering the room was no different as we were greeted by a mixture of dark lighting, hard furniture and a musky smell that would only be acceptable to the dead. Our window had an exquisite view of a car park. The bathroom was no improvement, as the hospital clinical feel kept in line with archaic theme and general unpleasantness of this catastrophe of accommodation. To add insult to the ordeal, removing ourselves post-hast was a mixture of threats and stern looks towards two sad faced old trouts who pathetically and un-helpfully tried to prevent our escape. The only reward for the waste of one hour of “holiday time” was finally receiving a full refund! In short, this hotel is a shambles of a residence that would only be appropriate to those who want to spoil their holiday or endure a slow death in miserable depressing location.
