We spent only one night on the way from Alicante airport to Valencia by train. This hotel was much better than I expected. Tea and coffee making facilities, the room big enough, hair dryer, tv. No restaurants nearby, so we had our dinner at the hotel. It was good and not pricey. Breakfast was not included , 8 euros but it was also good. People at the reception were helpful. Neighborhood is the only minus.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly although not all of them could speak good English. In the hotel details it says that the rooms are soundproofed - find this very hard to believe! Location not very good, 30 minutes walk to shops/restaurants. Nowhere nearby to eat apart from the Hotel, but the meals were good.

The Campanile Hotel is located on the road that leads out of Alicante towards the airport. Easy to find and loads of secure parking. The receptionist was very friendly and the rooms was brilliant. Spotlessly clean, large, comfortable and modern. Public areas were also of a similar high standard. Breakfast was continental.

At a room only rate of £31 we were VERY impressed. A taxi into the main hub of town was under 5 euro. I wouldn't recommend walking from the hotel to town as it passed through a seedy area by the docks.

Perfect for tourists and businesspeople.

I have stayed for some nights in the Alacant Campanile hotel in November 2004 and was delighted by the quality of the services offered there. The rooms are standard (as in any Campanile hotel) but clean and well-kept. The heating system worked well - and important point in my travel period because even in sunbathed Alicante November nights might be cold -, the en-suite facilities were excellent, and I was particularly satisfied to find tea- and coffee-making facilities in the room and a new (and free) bottle of mineral water every evening when I came back into the room. I booked the hotel at a very advantageous internet rate which included breakfast, and this was a good choice as the breakfast buffet served in the hotel's restaurant turned out to be very complete by Northern European standards - not the rule in Spanish hotels. There is ample free parking on the hotel's premises, and staff is very friendly. However, this is not a hotel where one will spend his holiday. It is located in an area where currently huge residential buildings are being built, and the important Alacant - Airport main road is just next to the hotel. This did not disturb me as windows are noise-proof but people who are sensible to noise might want to ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. The hotel is near to the sea but there are no beaches around as the location is close to Alacant's freight harbour and railway container terminal. The area is not really ugly but not very picturesque either. What is very positive is that this Campanile hotel is within walking distance of both the railway station and the downtown shopping area. As I stayed in Alicante for work, this was a very positive experience and I will most certainly come back - this address will deceive holiday makers and beach fans but is highly recommandable to travellers.
