“I've found my home in Madrid!”

I travel to Madrid at least twice a year for work and always extend my trip into a vacation. I stayed at Hostal Adriano for 18 days in December and through New Years Eve. It is VERY close to Puerta del Sol. The staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. I traveled to many different areas of Madrid on this trip (away from the center) and they were very helpful with my travel plans. This was my first time to stay at Adriano and I LOVED IT! The location and price can't be beat. I like that there is a refrigerator in the room. Not big, but enough space for some milk, OJ and yogurt for breakfast. They changed my linens every couple of days and I was always excited to see what my duvet cover would be! There is a safe in the room, but it is quite small (will not fit a laptop). I did not feel uncomfortable leaving my laptop in the room. I know it is hard to find laundry services in Madrid, but there is one nearby on Calle Leon (near Anton Martin). There is also a dry cleaner about 50 yards from the hotel. Also, if you want to go to the cinema in Madrid, Cine Ideal is very close where you can watch American movies subtitled in English (called VO for original version). There is an elevator and you are given a key to the building. As is typical with Madrilenos, I stayed out quite late. I am a female who traveled alone and I never felt unsafe in the area. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Madrid. Hostal Adriano and their staff definitely deserve the Trip Advisor rating they have!

Room Tip: There is a disco on the ground floor. If you are sensitive to noise, choose an interior room. My r...

“A great place to stay in centre of Madrid”

I stayed in the Hostaladriano Adriano for 2 nights. The hostal is on the 4th. floor ( there is a lift) and the entrance and reception area is very clean with some great art work on the walls - done by a friend of the owners, I found out.
The lady at the reception was very friendly and checkin was easy.
The room was very bright and clean, well heated ( because it gets cold in Madrid in winter), and the bathroom was spotless, with one of those half- baths you often find in Spain. The bed was comfortable. The room looked onto an interior but as its the 4th floor there was plenty light
There wasn't any noise at all, the street, though very central is not busy traffic-wise. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area, and it's easy to walk to the 3 main museums in Madrid from here.
There is free wireless too.
The staff speak very good English and are very helpful, with a lot of local knowledge.
All in all, this is a great value-for-money place to stay in the centre of a fantastic city.

“Hostal Adriano”

We stayed at this hostel for over a week, and were pleased. The location was excellent, in the oldest part of Madrid and near everything. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms were small, with a small bathroom, but it was predictably small for non-luxury hotel in Europe. There was a mini frig and a table which made snacking easy. We had requested the back rooms as I'm a light sleeper. Usually rooms with a nice view of the street also can be loud at night. The entryway was locked and well lit, but it is a shared entrance with several other hostals, and was easy to overlook at first.

“Thank you Hostal Adriano!”

My husband and I stayed here for 7nights beginning on September 19, 2011. It was a perfect base for our time in Madrid. We were able to walk to all the major tourist sites. Plaza del Sol and Plaza Santa Ana were minutes away.
Our room, #16 was adorable. We appreciated having a fridge and a safe and adequate space to unpack. There was street noise (Madrid is famously noisey), but this was not a problem with the double glass balcony doors closed and the air conditioner on. The hostal was very clean and well organized. We were never bothered by noise from other guests.
The owners of the hostal are involved in the daily running of the business and obviously take care and pride in it.
We would stay here again and recommend it others.

“Great Accommodation”

We cannot recommend the Hostal Adriano highly enough.
We have stayed here many times and find the standard of accommodation, service and cleanliness to be consistently high.
It is in a very central location, just minutes from Placa Santa Ana, and has great facilities that far excede expectations - daily cleaning service and new towels, ensuite shower room, fridge, television, safe, and free wifi.
There is even a computer available for use by guests, free of charge.
Rooms are incredibly good value for money and early check in is allowed if rooms are available.
