This was the first place we stayed on our backpacking trip around europe. As we flew into barcelona and this was our first "travelling" expereince we were hoping for somewhere niceish to stay and this is what we got! there were quite a few steep steps....but this is to be expected in europe hotels!! We had a standard double room on the 1st floor! staff were very welcoming and answered any questions we had! the rooms were exactly what you need for a base to explore barcelona!! clean and had a nice adequate bathroom. free wifi and towels was a bonus! Once we figured out the air con it was even better! location is ideal only a 5-10 min walk to la ramblas so u can avoid the noise at nights. taxi from the airport was only 15 euros. there is a small supermarket opposite which is perfect for breakfast and to get your water for the day at a decent price!

Hostal Centric located near center of town (3 walk from the Metro - pl. Universtiad,10 minutes walk to plaza catalunya).
Hostal was very central, clean, all facilities nearby supermarket or restaurent or coffee. Budget Hotel.
I feel comfortable stay. wireless internet in room. Hostal staffs are friendly and excellent.
I stayed on Hostal from December 23 to 25 2011. Ronda Sant Antoni in front Universtaid have breakfast restaurent for 5 euros or less ..
from airport take aerobus and leave in front of plaza catlunya and buy T10 ticket for Zone1 in plaza catlunya metro(on ticket machine), to move
around by any public transport in barcelona city. Enjoy the hoildays

I was so relieved and thrilled to have discovered Hostal Centric. Apart from being within my meagre budget I booked a superior single room and had a lovely modern bathroom and small balcony of my own. It was all on rather small scale but was more than enough comfort for me. I slept really well and the room was cleaned every day. But what made this so special for me was how friendly and helpful the staff were. As a female travelling alone it is vital to feel safe and I can't recommend this hostal enough with this regard. They really seemed to want me to have a wonderful holiday. I will definitely be returning.

This is a fantastic budget hotel (I would grade it more than a hostel) very well located in central Barcelona. The rooms are quite nice, very clean, with a nice marble bathroom, with good towels changed daily and a plasma TV on the wall. The hostel is within walking distance from metro station and some attractions. The rooms are cleaned daily, and there is good free wifi all over the hotel. This is for me a very nice budget hotel, but with full 3 or 4 star hotel service. Certain things, like location and internet access, are way better than in more expensive places I have been.This place is hands down, the best budget location so far I have ever been, I can not recommend it enough. If you are staying in Barcelona, on a budget, stay at Hostal Centric.
