Me and my husband were driving through, doing the grueling drive from valencia to la coruña. we discided to stop at this hotel to break up the journey from madrid on the A6. This hotel is a one nighter stop through, and on first impressions is a lovely modern updated version of a motel. I cant complain at all with the beautfully designed room, costing at a reasonable 50 euros a night during this out of season time.
However my one beef was that the resturant and basic tapas is pretty expensive (muy caro!!!) and considering this, it was no wonder why the resturant was empty and hardly any truckers we´re eating and drinking at the bar. Its obvious they´ve tried to corner the upmarket route of passing trade but when you just want a basic home cooked meal for less than €10 you can see they have priced themselves self out from the usual hotels. We settled for a hot bagette, this was edible but no frills and still cost €6.50. The only other menu they offered was the al a carte (very expensive around €17.00 just for a starter!!! i´m just glad we didnt hang around for an hour to wait for them to open.
The room however is very nice, air con, TV, bath and shower, dove shower gel in the bathroom, big clean bed.
The staff arent over friendly either. But If you want a nice quite stop off and want to avoid the haulage trucks, have the safely of leaving the car for the night, and avoid the bright lights of gas stations and avoid the trashy drive through places than this is a good alternative. I recommend it but make sure you bring your own meal or have the cash to spare for a decent one.
