my boyfriend and I have just come back from an amazing holiday in Gran canaria! The apartments were lovely and were cleaned everyday as well as recieving clean towels quite frequently.The apartment was quite big consisting of a kitchen diner, bathroom bedroom and large terrace. We went self catering and was quite dissapointed because there were only hobs to cook with, no oven. However we had a kettle toaster and lots of cooking utensils all of them clean and tidy. we spent most of our time out and about so all we really wanted from the hotel was somewhere clean to eat and sleep and the apartments were both of these.The pool was lovely,extremely cold at first but then its fine after that!!! The shower was nice,everytime we used it the water was hot,not always boiling but far from cold. The bar and resturant were hardy ever open but We would have quite happily eaten there at the apartments if they were. Its in a very peaceful location, however theres a nearby netto, newsagents,several resturants and a couple of bars. It is a little walk from the beach but the location is so lovely that it wasnt really a problem, athough a little bit tiring!!The view was lovely from the terrace as we overlooked the pool and also the sea. We really enjoyed our stay and would definately return to puerto rico and would definately stay at these apartments again!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in September...room was ok, it was clean and had a nice view, however could do with an update. Staff fantastic, very helpful. Other people staying there a good laugh, although we were bit noisy some nights!! Would reccomend amadores beach over the pool...absoultely beautiful and only a cheap cab ride away! Apartments in good location, had a lovely hol!!

On arrival we were faced with carrying 3 suit cases up approx 80 very steep steps, we were situated on the top floor.
Apartment was very tired looking in need of decorating. The furniture and beds needed replacing. The bed linen and towels were very grey and in my opinon needed replacing.
The pool area had lots of sun beds but most were broken with only 5 Parasols these were also broken and very old.
Even the table and chairs around the pool bar looked old and dated. The brochure stated that there was entertainment for the children this was not the case.
The only good point is the view over the harbour

We stayed in the apartments end of july beg august had a brilliant time. "killer pool john" made our holiday!!! loved his pool games and killer pool etc, we complained about our rooms not being cleaned properly and from then on it was sorted, ok we knew we were not going to a 5 star place so it was as we expected food was ok from the pool side bar better than cooking in the rooms, manager was brilliant 2 evenings we could not get a taxi so he drove us himself into the commercial centre, do go go the chinese in the strip of shops by the hotel and see jack and jean they are lovely as is their crispy duck with pancakes mmmmm. dont bother with the hotspots bar rudest couple we met in 2 weeks and guess what they were british!!!! we went in there one night with an 8 year old and teenagers and they put a porn film on tv there were no other customers in we left very quickly!!! do go on the boat to port mahon brilliant day out and get a taxi everywhere they are so cheap. dont be talked in to going to anfi beach waste of a day unless you want to buy timeshare. back to the apatments they are ok balcony was brillian size and fantastic views of the harbour, pool is clean but the sunbeds are on their last legs may of them were cracked and broken having said all that we were a big group we had 3 apartments and we all had a brilliant time puerto rico is on three levels and we were on the bottom level by the harbour the best place i think although we went in a taxi most nights to the commercial centre to eat, thats where the nightclubs are, dont forget to stay in them long enough to "feed the pidgeons" he he. (angie the rep will explain) if you are going to the aquacanis remember it is only 2 star and you get what you pay for and thats what we got and we loved it!!!!
