The location really couldnt be better.
These a good standard villas/apartments, even though fairly basic.

We had a great holiday and really didnt need anything more.

We had a great family holiday at the Sol del Sur bungalows in Cala'n Bosc. We have 2 young children and they had a great time making friends with other kids in the surrounding bungalows and using the shared pool. The bungalows are a bit basic and you need a regular supply of ant spray, but they do the job. The marina area at Cala'n Bosc gets very busy and is far too 'english' (Sky Sports on large tv screens - yuk) but the kids loved it and you can always use your hire car to visit the more authentic areas. Ciutadella, the old capital, is only a short drive away and is a marvellous old city with much character and well worth a visit in the evening for eating around the harbour and shopping.

We had a great time and would certainly return.
PS: don't rely on the fact that young children will go to bed early! They create secret dens around the bungalows and enjoy the freedom they don't usually get in the UK. This is certainly a young family resort and not suitable for older teenagers, couples or older people. They will be put off by noisy children having the time of their lives!

In 2006 we stayed one week at sol del sur. It is not a big complex, about 15 appartments. There is a small swimingpool but it is big enough. We booked a 2 person appartment but we got one with three bedrooms. Every appartment has its own terrace, some have a nicer view than others. The appartments are "Spanish", so not brand new. Supermarkt is just around the corner. And because it is menorca, a lot of kids, but they go to bed early so you have really quite evenings and the swimmingpool for yourself.
