Before booking a place to stay in Menorca I ran the gamut of looking at beach side resorts to city hotels and then found the Saint Ignasi.
Location - if you want to stroll out of your hotel to a beach or restaurant, this isn't it. The food is great at their restaurant, but unless you eat there you are getting into a car to go out elsewhere. But it's a beautiful, quiet setting and perfect if you're looking for quiet evenings at the hotel. And we were fine getting in the car every day to explore a different beach or hiking trail so the location was perfect.
The hotel itself is in perfect condition. Clean, spacious room. Good shower and tub (good water pressure!). Common areas are relaxing and quiet. Of course we went in the second half of September at the end of the season.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had bank issues and they helped us for a long time to make a collect call to our bank in US to get it resolved. Anything we wanted and asked for the room was provided.
I will likely go back to Menorca and Saint Ignasi will be where we stay.

Everything about this hotel was first-rate. It's located up a long dirt track - but the bumpy ride is well worth it. We had the hotel to ourselves for the first three days - and shared it with a German couple for the last 2. The service was superb, and the food was great - far better than any other restaurants we tried. The perfect place for a relaxing break. The fantastic weather was simply a bonus!

I stayed at the sant agnasi last year for one night as I wanted to spend some time on the west side of the island and see cuitadella. It really was very impressive if a little quiet. There were very few people staying at the time and I felt like I had the place to myself. The hotel posesses a rural charm to it with exposed stone walls and wooden beams yet manages to be up to date and very clean without seeming clinical. I have returned there twice since to have lunch in the gardens by the pool. The food was outstanding and again the staff were very attentive and provided us with good recommendations. I would certainly stay there again.
