The hotel is modern and well maintained, and our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. There are two pools, they are also well kept and clean, and there are plenty of sunbeds, which are in very good condition, they must be almost new. There are trees around the pool area which provide a little shade if you want it. The pools open at 10 and close at 6 each day. You can get drinks and snacks by the pool, they are not cheap though, we paid 3 euros 40 for 2 cokes, and that's a medium-sized glass with ice, so less than a can.
We only had breakfast at the hotel, so I can't say anything about other meals, but there was plenty of choice so you could have something different each day if you wanted. It's served buffet-style, and includes fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, meat, cheese, breads and pastries, plus hot food including bacon, eggs, sausage, baked beans, and pancakes. I was a bit disappointed that the 'orange juice' was not real juice, but there was tea and coffee. I wouldn't say the food was outstanding, but it was good, and the fresh fruit was especially nice.
Evening entertainment apparently included bingo, karaoke, and a cabaret, but we went out each evening so I don't know how good any of those things were.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and their English is very good.
If I had one niggle, it's that you have to pay 24 euros, plus a deposit, to use the safe in your room. Once the safes are installed there is no extra cost to the hotel whether guests use them or not, so why not just charge the deposit.
Shops, bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and there is a water park just across the road. The map of the local area we were given shows 4 beaches in the immediate area, we walked to all of them during our stay, they are all rocky inlets with small beaches and shallow water. The smallest, Cala en Brut, is a patch of sand about 6 feet square! You can apparently sunbathe on platforms built into the edges of the inlet, but we didn't try that out. Cala en Forcat is a bit bigger, but not much. Cales Piques is the next size up, and has sunbeds and a small beach bar, and the water was a bit deeper for swimming. The biggest local beach is Cala en Blanes, which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. There were lots of locals there the day we went, and there is a beach bar and a slightly larger bar/restaurant, also some play equipment for kids. Do take some money with you though, it costs 17 euros for two sunbeds and a beach umbrella, and you aren't allowed to just sit on a beach towel.
Buses to the old capital, Ciutadella, are very frequent and it's a nice place to visit.
We had a good holiday and would stay at Los Delfines again.
