We stayed in this Hotel recently after looking for somewhere special to celebrate a birthday whilst already on the Island. The Hotel is superbly located right in the heart of the Historic Quarter of Palma, close to the Cathedral. It is tucked away (get directions for arriving as the one way system can be a bit tricky!) and very tasteful. The room we requested was large and comfortable with a wonderful bathroom equipped with a large Jacuzzi bath and luxury shower. However, the large TV in the area the children were to sleep in didnt work and was not fixed while we were there. Sleep was not great as the pillows were so very hard and there was noise from the street outside on the saturday night. The service in the breakfast room was a little lacking as there appeared to be only one member of staff, who was very pleasant but clearly rushed off her feet! Wonderful views from the roof terrace
Very interesting building. Very helpful staff. Lovely roof terrace area, considering it is set in the narrow streets of the old town. Excellent location, especially for cathedral and seafront. Good selection of food at breakfast but so many things on display are crowded together or wrapped up in cloths- a bit unusual . Lovely public rooms, complimentary afternoon tea available there, but the public rooms seemed slightly dusty and uninviting - may have been better to use those rooms for breakfast rather than the fairly dark breakfast room. Small indoor plunge pool which we didn't use.
Just returned from our second stay at this charming and very interesting hotel. A great hotel to stay in if you want to capture the charm of the area around the cathedral in the centre of Palma. Our first stay was in 2003 and we promised ourselves we would one day return. The staff are friendly and welcoming but not obtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived around 5 hours BEFORE our check-in time and shown straight to our room which meant we could make the most of our short break. Also we were allowed to check-out of our room late, no problem or charge. If you want a special break rather than the modern hotel then I thoroughly recommend you try this hotel.
Lovely room, great location, beautiful roof terrace. Pedro Ximenez on tap in the lounge.
