Not a great experience. We booked through an internet site( not the hotel's) and perhaps that explains why the room was cramped, facing the back and without any air conditioning.A tower fan was in the room which was fairly ineffectual.The lighting was pretty poor.The bathroom looked out into a dingy shaft.
No food was available only a vending machine on the floor below the reception .We paid in excess of 90 euros and I did not think it was worth it. It looks better in the picture.
The restaurant next door was excellent.

We spent excellent vacation on Avenida Apartments!!!!!. The room very clean with a very good kitchen, bathroom, etc.....very nice personal from reception and a lot of fun around.
We don't need to go too far away because everything was around!!!! Excellent location!!!.
We was able to use facilities from Avenida Hotel across the street for gym, swimming pool, bar, shows, etc.

We can't wait to come back next year.

Hotel located on the hills surrounding Donostia San Sebastian with a great view on the bay of the city. +/- 500m from the beach (they say 200m) easy to be reached by foot.
At check in the receptionist had almost no knowledge of any foreign language. Afterwards the lady at the desk was much better and very willing to meet any request (f.e. restaurant bookings,...)
They fully exploit in their room rates the fact they are one of the only hotels having an outdoor 15*8m swimming pool. This reduces the value for money significantly.
Tidy hotel dominated but prohibition signs ruin the ambiance. Rooms are renovated but remain old fashioned.
Almost no insulation of the rooms limit the night rest. Moreover room cleaning starts at 7 o'clock.
Breakfast up to standard for a 3 stars hotel with no plus.
No bar only vending machines, again little ambiance. The hotel has no restaurant but neighbours a very good restaurant (Rekondo).
With family rooms at 200 euro we expected more, even with a swimming pool

Stayed one night. Surprised that in a city so renowned for its food there was no option for food in the hotel ( just the usual €20 breakfast that nobody eats). I don't even think there was a bar!! Room was fine although I hate the way they have two beds stuck together. Outside there was a fresh garden feel about the place. Overall it was good value and with a few slight tweeks this place could be great. Would stay again considering a taxi to the old centre was only €8!
