Stayed here to cover the last few days of the Oktober fest and also attend the Expo Real event at the Messe. The hotel is only a short walk away from the underground or the S Bahn and also has its own car park. If you don’t get the approach by car right the first time then you have drive round the inner ring again. You have been warned! It’s a modern building with tiles everywhere, very little carpet. There is no bar but there are some refreshment establishments nearby. Satisfactory breakfast arrangements. The rooms had enough space and the beds were comfortable but squeaked sometimes. The bathroom did everything needed. Internet is available throughout the building but I didn’t realise that you pay for it. Dependant on which elevation your room is on, the noise from the traffic can be disturbing. given the cost of staying in the heart of the centre or near the convention centre this is good value

Have been going back to Preysing in the past few years - it is has a certain calm and queit feel which after a hectic biz day helps a lot. Location-wise pefect for direct S-bahn to airport and central district. Decent (and some expensive) restaurants, beer-garden and bars nearby. Gasteig is accross the road. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

I was very disappointed by this hotel. Although billed as 4-star, and clearly this was attempted through the decor, it left a lot to be desired.

The breakfasts were appalling - very little choice, nothing like I'd expect from a proper 4-star hotel. Oh, and the breakfast room was full of flies crawling all over the food. Disgusting.

The rooms are reasonably sized, but the air conditioning was ancient and very poor (and noisy).

On the plus point, a reasonably good location - not quite in the centre, but close enough for decent sightseeing.

The whole hotel had a very dated feel about it. While by no means an awful hotel, you can do a whole lot better.

I've stayed at the Preysing several times and will definitely go back. The hotel is located away from the chaos of the train station district but is convenient to transportation - a short walk to the trams or the metro (S Bahn) - Rosenheimer Platz. The first time you arrive (if by S-Bahn) be sure to get an area map - it could be confusing the first time, but is a very easy walk through the Gasteig. The hotel staff is extraordinarily helpful and friendly - they adapt quickly to English speakers. The breakfast is great - a full buffet & they will scramble eggs or make omelettes. The room is very nice & clean, beds comfortable - no complaints. There is a parking garage in the basement, in case you drive in. At night, it is quiet. There is an excellent restaurant next door and a wonderful Irish Pub down the street a couple of blocks. I love the Preysing & recommend it highly.
