We were a little worried that this hotel would be too far to walk into the town centre but actually it was pretty close - 20 minutes walk or there is a tram if you prefer. The area is pleasant and quiet. There is parking on the street in front of the hotel (or in the garage for a small fee if you prefer). The rooms are very large, modern and well-kept. The fresh fruit on arrival is a nice touch. Staff friendly and helpful.

this is a tastefully furnished and designed hotel. target market are younger people that want to move to a higher level of quality, service, and cleanliness. rooms that face the main street are noisy, though, and since there is no AC, that can be a problem in the summer when you want the windows open at night.

i highly recommend this hotel! i stayed there in december 2002 in one of the largest hotel rooms i´ve ever seen. it was nicely furnished and had a balcony with view over munich. the bathroom was absolutely new, too and very clean. we had an environmentally friendly german/french breakfast the next day. the hotel is beautifully furnished and it´s an arts hotel with lots of paintings and small exhibitions. the staff was friendly, but not too pushy. the situation is part good, part bad. the hotel is situated on a small hill over the city centre. by feet, you´ll need about 20 minutes to reach the city centre, but there is a subway station (rosenheimer platz) about 10 minutes away. it´s a quiet, beautiful residence area.
