I've been here many times when it was still under Sheraton management and now under Westin. There have been subtle changes to the hotel but most places are still the same. I still love going to the Paulaner on the lower level of the hotel for some weissbier, schweinshaxen (pork knuckles) or goulash soup. If you come for lunch or dinner, most mains come with a free salad bar. Breakfast is also a treat, with a big breakfast buffet with a wide selection of hot and cold items.

The hotel is near a square where there are restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy and Rewe, a supermarket chain where you can shop for essentials. They also have a farmers market every week where fresh produce are sold. There's even a stall selling schweinshaxen and some roast chicken. They also sell giant pretzels for 1euro each. If you want to go to town, the metro is just past Rewe and you can even purchase a ticket from the concierge, just have it validated when you get to the station to avoid hassle later in case an inspector comes. It's even convenient to stay here during Oktoberfest because Theresienwise is just a train ride away.

They're usually busy with convention groups and sometimes you might even spot a soccer player, or two.

I participated to a conference that was organized in this hotel. All the facilities were good, big ballroom as well as smaller rooms. Only lunches from the buffet that were just for the conference participants could have been better. The food was not bad, but it was just good as everything else in the facilities were great.

The room was also very good, only criticism I could found was the bit noisy air condition unit. It actually did not bother me at all, but some other people told they needed to switch it off to be able to sleep well.

Hotel has also a gym and spa (pool & different saunas) which again continued the same quality, nothing negative to say on those.

I did not have time at all to see surroundings during my stay, so can not tell anything on that. But if the location is OK for you, I definitely can recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here while visiting the Christmas market. Beautiful Christmas tree in the foyer and lovely wooden manger scene as well. Rooms were spacious and beautifully equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. Views of Munich from the rooms is very beautiful and although very close to the main road surrounding Munich, no noise was heard inside the hotel at all. Breakfasts are lavish affairs with lots of variety and good quality.

I'm considered a frequent traveller (>75%) and travel both domestically and internationally. The Westin Grand is far and away the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The #1 reason is the management and staff. They've created a culture of 100% guest satisfaction and deliver by a team of All-Stars. I look forward every time I return and they never fail to exceed my high expectations. Kudo's to Sabine and her team!!
