I wrote a little bit about our family "European tour" in my review of Strochen Zurich, so here I will just mention that Jagerhaus was the second stop on our trip. The hotel is simply great. Of course, the credit mainly goes to the place itself - Southern Bavaria is one of the most beautiful places in the world, but the hotel is really very nice itself. It is very clean and cozy - you really feel like being part of Bavarian roaylty in the end of XIX century. The bathroom in our room was huge and ... well... roayl! With golden faucets and handles and really beautiful (though a little bit posh of course - I have to admit). The bed was extremely comfortable. The food was fine, nothing special, but good choice and tasty. Can recommend to families and couples. Tip: don't expect too much of Neuschwanstein Castle. It looks great on postcards computer wallpapers, but nothing really special when you stand near it (concrete and cement - nothing like real castles). But the surroundings are magnificent - walk around, visit beautiful lakes (see) nearby - forget about castle tours. It is just enough to make some photos of the castles from a certain distance ;))
