Brilliant!
We stayed in the Jagerhaus for one night. The room was incredibly good value for the price. The room was very large and doubled with an equally lounge area with a lovely balcony. The bathroom was about the size of the room. All obvious comfort was there, mattress and linen of the best quality. The decoration was beautiful, slightly over the top in the bathroom (godlen swan as taps..) but it was all of such good quality material and done so well that it just did not look tacky. We had more towels that we could possibly need. The buiilding is a beautiful old house, just at the bottom of the hill where the Hohenschwangau Castle is. The room was very quiet (although we stayed off season in the middle of winter). We later stayed in a different hotel in Fussen, the town near by and paid double price for a much much smaller room, so definitly good value.
The hotel has its private car park just 50 meters from the hotel dront door and you cna easily park right in front of the hotel the time to unload your luggage.
We also tried the restaurant, located in a more modern building accross the street. it offers beautiful views on the castle. The food was very nice, reasonnably priced. the staff was helpful.
The hotel got us a cot and cot sheets for our daughter, good quality and safe. Plenty of space to accomodate it in the room. There are stairs at the entrance of the old house building,. not sure access is easy with a pram or wheel chair.

My husband and I planned our wedding around Oktoberfest last year. The hotel and event staff were amazing! They arranged our entire ceremony, just outside of this hotel. They arranged everything- flowers, food, music, ceremony, everything!

Our room was in Villa Jagerhaus and our guests stay in the other surrounding hotels. Our room at Jagerhaus was far superior and much more elegant. The room was huge and had a great view of the castle. We had a beautiful bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. We also had fresh fruits and truffles in the room both nights we stayed. Maybe this was part of the wedding package, I don't know, but it was a nice surprise!

We also tried the German Restauarant that is in the main building, where we also had our wedding reception. Both times the food was excellent!

It's years away, but we are planning on going back for our 10th year anniversary!

I write this review now, as I was planning, our next Christmas Holidays. I think I will never have a similar experience. I felt like Cinderella in a fairy tale.
We stayed at the Villa Jaegerhaus, last December 26, just for one night, I wish I could stay longer. As we arrived, everything was under the snow, all white and a sun, making everything sparkle.
When we entered the villa, I had the feeling as being back to Ludwig and Sissy's era.
The Room, I think 42, on the first floor, was in the corner in the front of the Hotel, opposite to the Hohenschwangau Castle, very spacious, four big windows, with luxury rideaux, tapisserie on the walls, king size bed, bath robes, chocolates on the night table, very elegant stylish furniture, big marble bathroom with bath tub and shower, even with a big window with a view on the Hohenscwangau Castle.
It was still day, the sun was shining, blue sky, all covered with snow, very lucky. AND, then the revelation, the view from the windows. From one side the Hohenscwangau Castle, and the other Newscwanstein, I could not decide which way to look. The windows are big and the view breathtaking. So ask, if possible a corner room on the front.
We stayed to the room, before having dinner, to the Lisl Hotel, mother Hotel, opposite to the Villa, where also the reception is.
We really did not want to leave the room. We crossed the road, it was snowing, everything was magic, and went to the Restaurant, great view, very good service, the food was nice, but nothing special, it worth to dine there, but more for the place and the feeling than the gastronomy.
The price was not at all expensive, in my opinion, for what you get. 165 Euros, plus breakfast for 12 Euros p.p., don’t miss it, great buffet with everything you wish, in the same venue where we had dinner, all surrounded with glass windows and incredible view of the Neuscwanstein Castle.
