“Lovely hotel and great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for three nights.
This was my first visit to Stuttgart and I selected this hotel based on previous reviews and due to a good experience I had in another Meridien Hotel. I wanted a hotel that was centrally located and within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and most importantly the Christmas Markets.
The staff throughout the hotel from the reception to the bar were helpful, courteous and friendly. The check in was hassle free. The rooms were not ready but they stored our suitcases which allowed us to head off and explore the city for the day. It was raining heavily so they provided us with a large umbrella for the day.
The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean.

There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but you could avail of free takeaway tea and coffee from the restaurant.

We didn’t have breakfast included in our room rate so instead we went to one of the many bakeries and cafes in the streets along the main shopping street. This was within easy walking distance. There is a main road outside the hotel. To cross the road you take the stairs outside the hotel door and then use the foot bridge to cross the road into the park. You then walk through the park to the main street. It is about a five minute walk.

The hotel bar while a tad on the small side considering the size of the hotel is very pleasant and relaxing. It has an excellent cocktail menu and all the cocktails are expertly made. The staff in the bar were fantastic. Really friendly and fast. There was one girl in particular who mixed amazing cocktails and at the speed of light.
We also ate in the bar one night. The Portions were a good size and the food was excellent especially the burger.
The hotel pool was a good size and free to use to guests of the hotel. One thing to note is you need to wear a gown and slippers down to the spa. These are provided in your room.

When I return to Stuttgart I would try and stay at this hotel again.

“An oasis of pure luxury and calm. Recommended.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Stayed for 2 nights in an executive room. The hotel had everything I could wish for. Good location, spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast (in a beautifully designed restaurant), good gym, beautiful SPA, wifi (not free..), and last but not the least - the service is absolutely fantastic. I travel 11 months a year, staying in many hotels. The service in Le Meridien Stuttgart exceeded all my possible expectations. Do come there, you won't regret. It ain't cheap but totally worth it.

“Nicely appointed rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Recently spent three nights at this hotel. It's a somewhat reluctant participant in the SPG program so as a plat was given an executive room (despite availability of junior suites), which is basically a standard room on a higher floor. One positive of these rooms is you can get a nice view across the park to the city without much traffic noise.

The standard rooms themselves are very nice. A good size, well furnished and in good condition. Housekeeping also does a very good job. I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms had a modern contemporary feel especially compared to the older style lobby. The TV also has a good selection of english language selections.

A handful of resilient protestors remain in the park - but are no risk or threat. Think more along the lines of ageing environmentalists as opposed to anarchists. Also note that if coming from the train station via the park - technically you have to climb quite a few stairs - so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage. Alternatively you can (no doubt illegally) dart across the road and skip the overpass.

All the staff at the hotel were also very helpful and friendly.

“One of our favorite places in Germany”

This was our third stay at the Le Meridien Stuttgart. We again enjoyed our stay. The rooms are modern and quiet (ours was facing the back). The staff was extremly helpful and friendly. One of the highlights is the daily breakfast buffet - the amount of choices is breathtaking, and the service absolutely outstanding! We barely had cleaned a plate, and it was already removed. Superb choices of freshly baked bread. The spa is first class, the massage we had booked was one of the best we ever had. Two minor flaws this time: Room service brought the wrong dish and forgot a drink order, but corrected it within reasonable time. Upon checkout, we were charged a daily parking fee despite the fact that we had arrived by train . . . but this was also immediately fixed. I assume this fee is charged automatically to all guest accounts, so I recommend checking your final bill before settling the account. We will definitely be back! M. Morawietz, San Antonio TX

“Spacious room”

I spent 2 nights here while visiting the Christmas markets. We arrived by train and it's only a few minutes walk from the station. We checked in and asked the staff some information about some shopping we wanted to do, they were very helpful. Walking out of the hotel we could smell the mulled wine and candied nuts from the hotel, it's a short walk to the main squares.

The room was really spacious and the beds we're really comfortable, we were looking out onto the main road but there was no noise from the road.

The breakfast buffet is €25 but there is great choice and plentiful. The hotel bar is nice and relaxing. The lobby feels like you are in a lovely old building despite the exterior appearing more like a modern building.
