Stayed here for five nights on business. This is a very good hotel and by far the best that we saw in Pforzheim.
Rooms are modern and well decorated with all the best features, loads of wardrobe space, smart bathroom (having telephone extension and speakers from TV), mini bar (reasonably priced) and comfy beds.
The lobby, bar and restaurant are high class with a large conservatory/terrace looking out on the river.
Did not eat evening meal in the hotel but breakfast was fabulous.
All dealings with the staff were good.
The town itself is very large. The area on the hotel side of the river is the nice side of town where all the best bars, retaurants and shops are. The bars are spread out so be prepared to walk round a bit. The area on the other side of the river is low rent, we walked it extensively and found nothing but squalor.

We stayed in the Parkhotel Pforzheim for a night this April.
The check-in staff weren't very friendly and we had to find our room by ourself.

The room was clean, nice but not too big. The towels and sheets were clean and fresh, too. We had a balcony that overviews the courtyard. That would be ok, if it'd be a nice, green one. But not this one. The trucks unload their stuff there.

The room comes with a tv and the bathroom with a bidet, a heat lamp and an extra speaker, so you can hear what's on tv when you're in the bathroom. Nice.

In the closet are two bathrobes and beside the beds two pairs of slippers. In the evening there is a small Swiss chocolate on the pillow. Tasty.

The breakfast buffet is really, really good: fresh bread, juice, different kind of teas, milk, coffee, jam, honey, butter, eggs, different kind of cheese and meat and so on. You can even find some local specialties. It's really good and fresh. But I don't know if they serve every day such a big breakfast buffet or only on Sundays (we stayed only a night).
In the afternoon they serve some tasty cakes and other sweet things. If it's warm enough, you can enjoy them on the terrace which overlooks the river. Nice. The waitress was at the beginning not too friendly, but she changed her behavior.

Myself and about 35-40 family members stayed in the Park Hotel in June and out of all of us we do not have one complaint. We were over in Pforzhiem for a family wedding.
The hotel was fantastic. Absolutley spotlessly clean and so modern. Rooms very really spacious and very comortable. There was a mini bar that was always kept stocked and complimentary bathrobes and slippers. Beds were so comfortable with lovely duck feathered duvets and pillows.Our room overlooked the lovely canal that runs in front of the hotel. Breakfast was nice , with alot of choice.
The staff on reception were extremely helpfull. The even organised to get all the mens shirts freshly ironed on the morning of the wedding. Hairdressers and beauty salon also in the hotel.
Overall the hotel is off a very high standard and in a beautifull location. Well worth staying here if your visiting Pforziem.

I founf the Parkhotel to be the best hotel in Pforzheim. If your going to see Stuttgart, you're probably better off staying in Stuttgart.
However, if you want to see the rest of SW GErmany, Pforzheim is a great jumpoing off place and the Park hoetl is the best base camp.

The restaurant served a great variety in their breakfast buffett. If you want American style eggs, bacon and potatoes, they have it. If you want a more traditional European breakfast, they have that also.

Their bar is well stocked and the staff is friendly and most speak pretty good English.
