We stayed at Cour des Loges for a long weekend honeymoon, and we felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived.

The hotel's style is warm and characterful, and our room had a nice view and was most comfortable.

The standout aspect of our stay, however, was the expert and personable advice of the concierges, each of whom went to great lengths to advise and aid us in creating an interesting, even memorable itinerary of sightseeing, dining – and shopping.

If we had to find fault, it would only be with the somewhat temperamental wifi, and with the lack of in-room provision of things like a shoehorn, toothbrushes and a razor. The spa was also a little bit underwhelming (the word "spa" rather raises expectations), though perfectly serviceable. But these are tiny flaws in comparison to the otherwise overwhelmingly positive experience we enjoyed.

One of the best ways to celebrate a wedding anniversary is by taking a trip together. A romantic trip at anniversary time gives you time to reconnect, reflect, and rekindle your passion. When possible without the kinds ;-).
France Gastronomie Center ; Lyon was the place to go.

This Hotel which is a renouned (*****) is just perfect.
Breakfest has beaufiful colours, dinner and lunch is only Nouvelle cuisine ( is an approach to cooking and food presentation used in French cuisine).
The price is much BUT you shall be happy ;-)

We stayed there for the first time in October. The building is fantastic, though a few bad taste touches as the false door painting on one of the main walls in the dining room. Could be a little more authentic and less show off.
The room was dark, small and tired. Worse was the bathroom large mirror which was broken and where a branch of flowers have been painted directly on the mirror to hide it. Not quite what could be expected for this hotel standard. Toilet was in some kind of cupboard..

Breakfast buffet was amazing with Nespresso coffee which we sincerely appreciated.
Nice place to stay but definitely too expensive

We have recently returned from a 3 day break in Lyon, over NYE, which started with a missed flight and lost luggage. From the moment we arrived the entire team could have been more helpful with our (numerous) requests.

The hotel is beautiful, as has been stated in previous posts, and in a prime location for wondering through the old town.

I cannot recommend this establishment enough for anyone wanting a short break in this wonderful city.

Tip: when you've had enough of the local Bouchon cuisine head up the cable car and book yourself into the restaurant Christiane Tetedoie which has great food and wonderful views over the entire city
