“Chic Stylish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2007

The Seizena is a small friendly hotel set in Courchevel 1650. The interior is extremely, chic, modern and stylish but still retains a typically French ski hotel exterior. The main gondola to the slopes is directly opposite the hotel and a courtesy shuttle bus runs every 10-15 minutes taking you to Courchevel 1850. A locker room with heated boot warmer is adjacent to the hotel which can only be accessed by the use of your room swipe card.

We booked a valley view room (with shower only on request) and spent each late afternoon enjoying the sun on the balcony which was much welcomed after a really hard day on the slopes. (Perfect snow conditions for April).

Rooms were decorated to a very high standard, with brown mohair bed throws, flat screen TV and quality bathroom furnishings (with Molton Brown complimentary toiletries, these small touches mean as much to me as the larger more obvious things).

in addition to the excellent hotel amenities was the extremely high quality hotel restaurant with a glass fronted log fire. The menu offers food from France, Europe and all around the world. This has been some of the best food both in taste and in presentation that i have ever experienced.

i would definitely return to Courchevel 1650 and more importantly to the Seizena. The Seizena should be rated higher than 3 stars without a doubt.

“Smart hotel in Courchevel 1650”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2007

Le Seizena is a smart contemporary boutique style hotel in the centre of Courchevel 1650. Quite pricey but quality of rooms is very good for a ski resort and the hotel is located two minutes from the main ski lift. Service was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

Dinner in the hotel restaurant was reasonably priced and generally good - Food was mainly 'international' which offered a change from the traditional Savoyarde cheese, ham and carb fest.

“Un excellent hotel !!”

Stayed for 4 days in March 07.
The hotel is absolutely superb.
All the experience (from booking on line to taking a shower on the last day before leaving) was fantastic. The whole staff is very professional and has been full of attention to us.
The facilities are great and the food is good.
The restaurant is very well priced compared to all the brasseries in the surroundings.
This from far the best price quality ratio you can get in Courchevel 1650. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Real Boutique hotel in Courchevel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2006

Stayed here in Jan 2006. Really unique decor, nicely kept. Our room was very stylish but pretty small (I was aware of this when booking and received a decent discount). Lovely big kingsize bed with trendy headboard and nice cushions. Plenty of storage. Fantastic view over the valley. I imagine the village view side of the hotel would be noisy as there are vehicles coming and going at all hours. Bathroom very nice, very effective heated towel rail for drying that ski gear. Staff were extremely helpful, especially the front desk staff. The only comment I would make is that the first morning when we went for breakfast there were 4 staff standing around but not one single one came to ask us if we would like a drink or to explain how breakfast 'worked'. We found out for ourselves of course but it did seem a bit rude! In terms of location this hotel is right in the centre of 1650, the ski bus stops right outside the door and the boot room with heated boot warmers is a real plus, especially as the rooms aren't huge. Would recommend as it is the only hotel I could find in courchevel which was trendy/boutiquey whilst not being ridiculous money.

“Smart new hotel..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2006

La Seizena is a new boutique hotel in 1650 owned by the same people as the Kilimandjaro in 1850. The hotel has a 30's aviation theme (why not?) but has all mod-cons in the rooms that are needed : excellent fixtures and fittings, clever design touches and fabulous views down the valley (avoid the front rooms). Little things let them down - the only lounge is for smokers as the restaurant is non-smoking and they are slow to do drinks service; rooms are cleaned but odd things get left undone. The restaurant is eclectic but reasonable value and a change from the usual savoyard places. On balance I would thoroughly rcommend the hotel but choose your rooms carefully.
