From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Sandrine, we knew we would enjoy our stay. We were there three nights and enjoyed every minute. The breakfast is delightful with fresh produce changing daily and a choice of sweet or savoury, and beautifully presented. The restored property with its typically French-appointed rooms, along with the gardens full of old olive trees, is beautiful. Attention to detail and comfort is what makes Histoires de Bastide a wonderful place to get away from it all and relax. Sadrine's restaurant recommendations and advice were invaluable. Tourrettes sur Loup is such a wonderful find - tourists abound but in a subtle and inobtrusive way - and it is still very much the locals who reign in this delightful little village that really has so much charm.

We really enjoyed the sweet room and Sandarin's hospitality. If it were not for Histoires de Bastide, we wouldnt have the chance to explore Tourettes Sur Loup, which is an adorable town with surprising food. It is close to Grasse and Nice, so I would recommend to stay here for one night experiencing the peaceful moutains though we were sort of lost in the winding paths.

We recently stayed in this fabulous guesthouse while attending a wedding in the stunning surroundings of Tourrettes-Sur-Loup. As some of the previous reviewers noted check-in is only between 5 and 7pm however this was made clear in advance and it is not a hotel so we just ensured we arrived at 5pm exactly after a relaxing late lunch in the nearby village.

Sandrine was very welcoming and assisted us in organising transport back in to the village for the evening. Our room was divine with its own private terrace and lovely view over the gardens. The restaurants in Tourrettes are fantastic and Sandrine provided us with some great advise. We only had breakfast one of the mornings and it was perfectly adequate - very typically french which may not suit everyone but it was clear what was available and there was definitely enough to suit most palates.

I would highly recommend this gorgeous property - its very romantic and despite the fact it is not a hotel the hosts were very accommodating with changes we had to make 1 month before arrival. I really hope we get to go back in the future!!

Unlike the previous reviewer, we really enjoyed our time at Les Histoires de Bastide. I think that you would have to be very stressed indeed not to be totally relaxed by this wonderful B&B. There is an elegant simplicity about Les Histories de Bastide - the standards to which it is run do not disappoint and our view was that the breakfast was completely delicious and really well presented. Our room was called Jean de Florette which is a separate little building next to the main farm house and we were delighted when we saw its simple elegance - it is a recent addtion to the few rooms available at the B&B. There were a few children staying at the hotel but they were well behaved and did not detract from the quiet relaxation of the hotel. You wil need a car if you stay here - and renting a car at Nice Airport is a nightmare and has been for decades - a thought might be to try and rent a car in Vence and take a bus from the airport. The delightful Sandrine has two rooms in Tourettes as well as those in the B&B but of course they do not have access to the pool but would suit someone travelling by themselves or who wanted to travel by bus. We had a great time and would have no problem recommending to anyone.
