We have been going to "La Bastide" for the past ten years, always in June or September.
When you sit in the garden, by the pool, surrounded by the secular trees, the blooming flowers and the smell of the mediterranean vegetation, you would like to stay there for ever.
The lady who runs the hotel, like a perfect hostess, makes you feel at home with her kindness and availability.

Website looked good BUT reality was very different. Looked nothing like the site. Beds were damp. Bedroom floors dirty. Dogs are banned but the owners dogs are running all over the hotel. The owner herself was very rude and arrogant. And at eur400 a night she should be ashamed. I've stayed in better hotels in Monaco for half the price. Don't even consider staying here.

What a horrible experience. The owner was rude and mean and the rest of the staff the same. We were paying 400 euros and we had to carry our luggage to the room in the dark, no room service, nothing to eat during the day, rooms are very small and humid. Its not worth it for its money...imagine a bed and breakfast. if you have the money to spend 400 euros and stay in a bed and breakfast place with no service at all then this is your place.
This is the first review I have ever written just because it deserves it so much!!!!

10 minutes driving from the centre

I'm just back from a fantastic week end there and the hotel is a real gem in St Tropez. La Bastide des Salins was a hotel experience to be remembered. We loved it in every way. The staff is very friendly and they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. From the moment you check in to the hotel, your senses are greeted with the beauty of the property.
Every detail was as close to perfect as you can get. Our room (Les Nuptiales ) was absolutely lovely with a fantastic terrace with a view of the park. It was so exclusive and soooooooooo comfortable
Highly recommended in St Tropez!
