We stayed here for 5 days with our children (aged 6 and 4). They loved Ste Maxime and there is a sandy beach very close to the hotel towards the centre of the resort. We took the hotel apartment which is nothing special. There were some problems. The plumbing is not great and the water pressure never came to much so the shower was feeble. There was a bad smell in the room which came and went and the bed would be short if you were over 5 foot 9 inches. Having said that we loved it. The rooms are an OK size but each has a sea view balcony. The larger of the two is enormous and looks over the sea, st maxime and st tropez as well as the hotel swimming pool (which is designed to feel as if it merges with the sea). You feel as if you are on a liner with the waves crashing below you and the most amazing night time views across the by in both directions. The hotel has a tiny rocky beach access to the sea with wonderful rock pools full of tiny crabs. Breakfast is good but we did not eat in the restaurant. The staff are great and very well trained....The fabric of the hotel is a bit dodgy for the price, our appartment needed a coat of paint and some basic repairs. Having said that it was perfect for us and the children loved it. It is just 5 minutes walk from the main resort.
