I recently booked a short break away to Nice and found this little hotel in what appeared to be a nice part of Nice.

Firstly, oh how mistaken I was, when we got there the area was full of youths drinking and shouting on the streets (this did not quiet down all night).

We found the hotel and checked in, the Man at check in was very friendly (the only good feature of the place).
There was a group of young students sitting in the loby playing loud music whilst we were trying to check in, this made it quite difficult.
So we were given our room key and told where the room was. I walked into the room and there was one minor part missing, there was NO BED!

Finally we got in a room that had a bed, it was dirty (although the sheets appeared clean), it smelt and there was rubbish in the cupboard. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen.

This is where the noise came into play. we went to bed, which I might add was the worst bed we would have been better off sleeping on the floor, and could hear the noise outside, 11 o'clock came, then 12, 1, 2 and the noise had still not died down, 3, 4, it carried on all night!

If you are using the place as a crash pad for a night out then this will probably suit, but if you are planning on sleeping at all then I would really look into something else.

I had originally booked in for two nights, we checked out the first morning and booked into another hotel that morning.

I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will I stay there again, simply put, this was an awful experience!

My experience here was nothing but positive. The hotel was renovated very recently---it was very convenient to walking around Nice and seeing the sites. The hotel is small and basic, nothing extravagent which is fine when you are on a budget. But it was clean and the hurniture was new. I would stay here again.

My family of 4 stayed at Ideal Bristol Hotel in Quad ensuite room two days in Aug 2003. We didn't expect a luxury hotel but it is not worth to pay 135 Eur for this room. The room was tiny and ugly, the bathroom very small but the worst was the horrible views from the window. We could see all neighbourhood because the street was very narrow and you had the windows of your neighbours sleeping with the windows open just three meters in front of your eyes even with inadvisible people sleeping drunk on the street. Go to other hotel in a different area!

i stayed here in 1975 and it was gloorious-each time i go back though it is always full-no vacancies-a family ran it at that time with a 14 year old daughter that was learning english-i has a small room in the top -such great days-all has changed-the world is smaller-but it was great at the time-good times there-
