Located halfway between the airport and the centre of town, this hotel is a funny mix, we were upgraded to a lovely Jr Suite on the 7th floor with a huge balcony complete with sun lounges and a small table and chairs, the room decoration was very strange, all hot colours of orange, yellow, and red, which rather odd Chilli decorations...sounds terrible as I write this...our kids had a seaview room on the 5th floor and their room was soothing blues and greens, so thank goodness the whole hotel is not decorated the same....double glazed windows kept out any sound, and the view was supurb!
Saying that the staff were amazing, totally full with a large conference, plus Airline crew coming and going, you would expect some shortness, but no, nothing was too much trouble and I really a respect a hotel that makes you so welcome!
The breakfast was the best we had in Southern France with a huge buffet to choose from..I loved the Nespreso machine in our room, as well as the Individual bodum coffee pots in the breakfast area!!
We decided to have a late lunch and headed to the wonderful Negreso Hotel which is an experience in itself!
We walked back to the hotel it took a good 20minutes along the water front and that was nice...We parked at the hotel in the underground parking.
The hotel is fine if your there for a conference or on business but I did find the area a little seedy...within a few minutes walk we saw some ladies of the night plying their trade at 11AM in the morning and a small park located next to the hotel seemed to have a few unusual people inhabiting it, generally I don't think I would bother staying in Nice again, but if you have to then this hotel has great facilities.
Room Tip: Obviously it would be nice to have a seaview, the road in front of the hotel is a rather busy thorou...
