This was a lovely little family run hotel. Yes, it's a bit basic but was very clean. It is in a great situation just around the corner from the bus station. The owners were really friendly and so helpful and obliging. They couldn't do enough for us.Tip: use the buses locally to get to and from the airport, it only cost 1.40 Euro as opposed to the taxi which wanted to charge 20. Hyeres is a lovely little town and is ideal if you want an easy weekend using Ryanair. We went for 4 days but wish it was longer. Unless you are absolutely intent on going, don't bother with San Tropez, it's very crowded and virtually impossible to park. Stay around Hyeres, the port area is lovely and so are the beaches further down the peninsula.

We found this place on the off chance when we called into Hyeres, and what a find!!! This is a family owned hotel with THE most hospitable owners i've ever met, giving us lots of advice on the local area - places to see, maps and even helping us with our bags. The room was huge which was fantastic since we had 3 people and 3 of the biggest suitcases you've ever seen. We didn't see rooms this big on our whole trip (11 countries across europe) and it had gorgeous decor and beautiful wooden floors. The continental breakfast was great (they even offered to warm up the milk if we wanted) and there was a carpark with security gate so we felt comfortable enough leaving things in the car. We ended up staying 2 extra nights instead of going to nice to make our day trips from there to monaco, st raphel etc. since it was such a great hotel.
I would definately recommend this place to anyone who is on a budget yet wanting to checkout the french riveria or even families who want to take their kids to the beach but can't afford the extravagent prices at places on the beach (it's only about a 5 minute drive)
