“Great location but very poor breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2011

Hotel has a great location. Only 15 minutes walk from the airport. I suggest to print direction from Google Map. Our apartment wasnt ready when we arrived aroung 12pm so we got other one with sea view. They've tried to charged us for that later on but I strongly refused as it wasnt what I have booked and I wasnt going to pay for it. The view on the port was lovely. Hyeres itself is nice and it's worth to get a bus to the city centre, Toulon and St Tropez (bus departures from the aiport or Hyeres Centre, takes 1.5h and cost 2 euros) I was dissapointed in restaurants by the marina as only 2 of them had menu in english so if you dont speak french take dictionary which we did. Very helpful as not many french speak english. The room were clean (except towels which smelled very weird) but very basic. There were no kettle or cups so dont count on making yourself a tea or coffee. There was no fridge either. We have paid for breakfasts but it wasnt worth of 7.50. There were only ham, cheese, some jams and cereals. No veggies, no hot food like eggs ets. Very poor but there is mini supermarket at the back of the restaurants. Beds were very comfy tho. We werent spending much of the time in hotel so we werent that bothered. I did enjoyed my stay but many things have to be changed.

“Excellent location, very good value for money and good beaches nearby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

The hotel is centrally placed in the South of France so it is a good base to travel around. It has good car parking facilities, which is not always the case. The room was fine for two people and we chose the sea view with balcony. Worth the few extra €uros a night. The hotel is in the modern Hyeres Marina section. The town itself is close by and has a beautiful Old Town area. There are excellent beaches nearby.

“not so modern, but good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

The hotel is located in the port, door to door with all the restaurants and cafes. It is only 5 min walk to the beach and the bus from the railway station stops nearby. Also supermarket is around the corner. The value (price/quality) of this hotel is good. It is cheap. The rooms are not modern. The bathroom is tiny, made of plastic. The room is big, but boring. Beds are comfortable. We had balcony, which was dusty with two old chairs. But paying 5 euro extra for the sea view was worth it! Really great view! The hotel personnel was ok. You have to pay for wireless internet.

“Simple rooms, good value and I recommend the restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2009

I have stayed at this hotel at least once in each of the last five or six years, only for a night or two at a time, but I find it much better than the other reviewers. It is true the rooms are simple and bathrooms small, but they are clean and adequate. The location and views are lovely and if all you want is a place to rest and sleep it is perfect. Breakfast is good and the restaurant in the evening serves excellent meals in a nice setting. The staff I have encountered have been helpful and the manager very friendly. I also feel it is reasonable value - 69 euros for a double room in high season (plus breakfast). My one reservation is that it can be rather noisy until about midnight (or even later) when the market and musicians are on the quayside - which appears to be every night in the summer.

“beware of thieves...”

I happened to stay in that hotel during a diving trip with my scuba diving club. During one of the dives, all the keys were left at reception. When we got back to the hotel, my room had been opened with the key, which was supposed to be under the manager's very own supervision. He refused to hear any complaint and was very rude to us, denying the problem completely and refusing we could have any doubt about his own staff. The next day, another member's camera mysteriously disappeared, and after complaint, mysteriously reappeared... weird. In the weeks that followed, the manager wrote to our club's director and complained about the reviews I had left on Lonely Planet's forum. he's just made me want to spread the word even more... if you go there, for your own safety, try and avoid that place.
