Simple hotel placed on the outskirts of Borovets that is about 15 minutes walk uphill to the ski lifts.
Hotel was clean although very noisy, the beer was cheap at approximately £1.50 a pint but the real disapointment was the food.
Breakfast was nothing special with warm greasy eggs or watery scrambled if you prefer.
Spicy sausages and othe delights were on offer but I think the safest choice was the pancakes.
Waiting staff were unfreindly and rude who would turn the radio up when they felt it was time for the guests to leave.
Evening meal was pretty much a disaster as the further into the week you went the poorer the standard of food seemed to come.
By the third night we opted to eat out which continued for the rest of the week.
On our last day the waiting staff were completely different and I guess this would have something to do with the tipping.
The big plus for hotel is that it is cheap and has the best showers I have used.
The downside is the food is dire and it's a long way from the slopes.
My recommendation would be is to pay a little more and get nearer to the slopes and include some ammenities in the hotel like a pool and sauna .

I came across this fantastic hotel after checking out of a disgusting hotel upon arrival last year. The other hotels in the area are very dated and at most 2 star. This modern superbly designed wooden themed hotel had all of the extras a modern bijou hotel should have. Underfloor heating, open shower, LCD TV, and contrary to other reports we found the owner extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed 4 nights with my wife and 3 month old daughter and had no problem whatsoever. The availability of a balcony in every room was wonderful as it allowed us to take in sunset with a glass of champagne while my daughter was asleep only metres away. The decor - fantastic, the staff - friendly, Rates - reasonably high but worth it. Overall - 10/10 considering the offerings of other hotels in the vicinity.
