We stayed at "Le Domaine de la Mer" for the second time in a row because we were enchanted by its location (directly on the beach in a beautiful Mediterranean stone pine park) and its style. It is a very small hotel (the property also rents appartments) completely furnitured in IKEA... We wanted to find a decent hotel directly on the beach (since this area is very famous for wind surfing) and there it was... Prerequisite is, of course, to speak French.... Which for some is not a difficulty...
Back to the hotel - small cute clean rooms with silent air-conditioning (rare to find!!), restaurant with a sea view, good french style food (breakfast/lunch/dinner is offered additional to the room charge). Everything is still very authentic and not touristically spoiled. We loved it! Pine trees, cicadas, sea... We walked (30') several times to the village Giens (also the name of the whole peninsula where the hotel is located) for dinner. Couple of relatively cheep restaurants with delicious sea-food...Go and try it yourself!
