We stayed here for 2 nights after a very pleasant week in Porquerolles. Our motivation in staying at this hotel was one of convenience, being close to the railway as we had an early start in the morning. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and actually showed us to our room, something which many more highly rated hotels don't do. Buffet breakfast on the terrace was much more than adequate. There are a number of terrific restaurants nearby, we had a meal at the friendly family run pizza place around the corner (which we could see from our room) and, being France, the owner naturally found a nice bottle of vin blanc for us. The other restaraunt we visited was Maroc, also just around the corner.
Hyeres is a very interesting town well worth a visit in its own right and if you want somewhere quiet and comfortable stay here. The bus to the port is almost next door and from there it's an interesting 30 minute ride and a further 40 minutes in the ferry to the island of Porquerolles.
