I know Cannes in the summer is expensive, and as I was here for work I wasn't bothered about any where fancy or with a view. This hotel is a great location but is really quite basic for a 3 star I think. Certainly no horror stories but not one to rave about either. Good if you just need a basic place to sleep and won't spend too much time in the hotel itself. I heard the view from the roof restaurant is lovely but didn't have time to check this out myself.

Overall ok, but the details left a bit to be desired

Pros:
- great location
- airconditioning (which was relatively quiet)
- free wifi in room
- not expensive

Cons:
- Despite being soundproofed (I really didn't hear any outside noise) the internal walls are too thin, I could hear everything happening in the room next door
- The bed was squeaky and pillows thin and lumpy
- When I arrived there were sheets all over the floor in the entrance hall of the 4th floor and I was given no explanation for this. They were tidied the next day
- The room not tidied very well, when I tried to send the maid away while I was working she was insistent she at least do the bathroom - I appreciate the effort but wish she could have done it later
- no snacks available in the mini bar
- shower didn't work properly and part of the shower tap was missing
- very slow lift. On one occasion I was stuck at one floor as the doors kept opening and closing without the lift moving (at least I wasn't stuck in it!) I repeatedly pressed the button and it finally started working again.

Stayed for 4 nights in early August. Location is superb given that many hotels nearby are much dearer. Right on the main shopping street and just a few minutes walk from the seafront. Main gripe was the air con which when working was nearly useless. On two nights it wasn't working at all. No good in August.

It's a wonderful standard best western hotel like you'll find everywhere else in the world, but that's what we like about best westerns, huh? ;-)
We picked a superior double room upon being advised by the clerk that the standard room was MUCH smaller (and coming from a bad experience with the Ibis we were done with small rooms). The size was okay, so I imagine that the standard was really puny.
Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was just perfect (some of the best showers ever seen!). The room faced the inner court, not a great view but at least it was quiet. I am sure you can book in advance and ask for a room with a view on the Rue d'Antibes, on which the hotel faces.
The room was a bit damp but by now I think it's a common feature of French hotels (sic!). It had a minibar, we didn't check the price of items but it's always great to store your own food and beverages! :)
Reception clerks are extremely friendly and helpful: the only minus in our stay is that the wifi internet didn't work. We're scholars so it was not a big deal but were we expecting some urgent email we would have been quite bothered. Furthermore it's virtually impossible to pick a free network with your iPhone in Cannes...

Apart from that we had a beautiful stay and we'd surely go back there if we go back to Cannes in low season (we had a deal for 70€ per night, no breakfast).

A family member recommended this hotel to me as they'd stayed previously when visiting Cannes, and I was so pleased with everything the Hotel had to offer. Excellent location in the heart of the shopping area of Cannes, good room size, facilities good and we really appreciated the warm welcome we received which was a great first impression.
Although Cannes is expensive we were really pleased with the price of the hotel, we booked 4 months in advance.
A lot of the beaches in Cannes is private if you walk to the left of the harbour but it is worth splashing out - we had a weekend without the kids so made the most of it!
