We visited at the end of the summer season to find the hotel empty of any atmosphere and nearly empty of guests. It is a a very quiet hotel without a spa or a gym or any of the standard services you would expect from a luxury branded hotel. The private beach is a small tiny space of sand between jutting rocks and restaurants barely big enought for two sunbathers. The decor is dated and lacking in any style even thought the building looks new in parts.
The compulsory breakfast at €25 daily per head was a hugely disappointing experience - a self-service affair with a very limited and poor selection of cold items and some soggy mini shop bought pancakes which guests are expected to heat themselves- again not what you would expect from a 5 star branded hotel.
The hotel is approx 4Km from Antibes, a return taxi costs approx €50 per trip. The hotel's reception staff were either clueless or took the view that their guests should not be using the clean and efficient No2 bus which travels from the back of the hotel to town approx every half hour for a €1 per journey.
The only good thing was free wifi.
