We stayed at the Thames Residence for a week at the end of April. Re-iterating other reviews Philippe was an excellent host, giving us a friendly welcome on arrival. We were travelling with 2 children and all was arranged (extra bed, cot) for us in our apartment.
Our apartment had a small kitchenette and 2 double beds. The apartments are small but comfortable for two adults and two small children. The kitchenette has a two ring cooker, a microwave, dishwasher and a sink. The lack of grill or oven does require you to use your imagination if cooking in.
The location is excellent, 5 minute walk into the centre of town. If arriving by car pre-book the private car park at EUR70 (currently) a week, it will save you alot of time.
The apartments are actually in the hotel [Grand Hotel] itself and therefore you can use all its facilities including the pool (opens late May onwards).
The apartments have free wifi and free international landline calls which was fantasic.
There is a launderette approximate 4 minute walk away if you require to wash any clothes. However as it is unmanned you can get alot of homeless people in it, which can make it feel unsafe at night. There is another launderette which is manned about a 15 minute walk away which is bigger and safer at night, ask Philippe or hotel staff to point it out on the map.
If you require to stock up on food there is a Carrefour mini-market half way up the main road into the centre of town. If you require more choice there is a Carrefour, Lidl hypermarket about a 10 minute drive away.
The only small negatives about the apartment is there are no floor cleaning utensils (sweeping brush etc) in the apartment, but are easily requested from Philippe. The apartments were not serviced at all during our stay (at least not ours), it would have been nice to get new bed sheets, towels automatically every few days. But again, a simple request and Philippe will supply them.
The Thames residence is a great accommodation overseen by a friendly and welcoming manager. The combination of both made for a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area of Provence, we will be back!
