We visited Provence at the beginning of June. I had read about Marlene on tripadvisor and I am so glad we decided to use her services to show us around this beautiful region. She made our visit just perfect!!! She is extremely knowledgeable about the history of this region and she added things to our itinerary that would keep the children occupied as well.

Marlene took 7 of us on a tour of Chateauneuf du Pape while on our recent trip to Provence, and we got so much more than a few wine tastings. Not only did she take us to some fantastic vineyards (including one we requested ourselves after tasting their wine at home and which we would never have gotten access to without her persistence), she went the extra mile and took us on a scenic drive past a few amazing sites. She was extremely knowledgable, personable, and willing to tailor the experience specifically for our group. I wish we had booked her for additional tours beyond just one day!!!

Based on reviews on TripAdvisor and other sites, we contacted a number of private guides in Avignon to discuss tours. After several emails we chose Marlene for 2 days of touring around Provence. We spent 3 weeks in France and the 2 days with Marlene were definitely amongst the best! She worked with us in designing the itineraries which included the obvious major sites but also included some stops she suggested (olive mill and a Luberon farm where we purchased jams) which were just delightful. She also helped us with shopping for gifts to take home!

Marlene is personable, bubbly, and very knowledgeable about the history, geography, food, wine, etc. of Provence. Our time spent with her was fun and educational. She suggested lunch spots after discussing our preferences, she was flexible in pick up and drop off times ... what more can I say - she was the perfect host. She even made time (on short notice) to transfer us to the Avignon TGV station on the day we left. There were hugs all round as we parted - in a very short time we had become more than clients, we were friends who hoped to meet again.

If we make another trip to Provence we will definitely contact Marlene. We hope you will too!

We also read about Marlene on TripAdvisor and we emailed her for more information and to plan our day. We were so happy with our 'Experience Provence' day with Marlene. She is genuinely lovely and tailored our day to our liking. We visited Rousillion and just couldn't leave there - Marlene was great about adjusting the day to spend more time wherever we liked. We enjoyed the market in Rousillion. We visited a local artist's gallery, took a walk amongst the ochre and took lots of great pictures of the magnificent scenery. Marlene took us to an olive oil mill - that was very interesting and enjoyable. We visited Gordes, LaCoste, several more small towns and ended at Aix on Provence. It was an unforgettable day and we highly recommend it. Not only to we see many beautiful, interesting places but we also learned about their history and enjoyed spending a day with a local person who loves the area - Marlene was fun to spend a day with and so very nice!
