My husband and I spent 5 days at this hotel in July. The hotel is conveniently located in the quiet Trinquetaille side of Arles...just a short walk across a bridge to get to all that Arles has to offer. Patrice and Bruno's hospitality showed through each and every day. They greeted us in the morning at a delicious (and very reasonably priced) breakfast as if we were long time friends, and they bid us a sincere "bonne nuit" when we returned each evening. They were always willing to help with directions, any information, or recommendations we requested. The rooms were clean and the accommodations comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Porte de Camargue if we are ever in the area again.

You're a 10-minute walk from the heart of Arles. The owners are friendly, the rooms are clean. We stayed here twice: the first time we had a room with a tub and bidet. The second time the shower was so small I had to open the door to pick up the shampoo bottle I dropped. There are no safes, which a drawback. As it's on a narrow residential street you will hear the sounds of life in Arles: people having dinner, a baby crying and the occasional domestic squabble. There's a terrace area with tables, a wind break and plants which looks out on the roofs of the neighborhood.

This hotel is good for those looking to stay in Arles at a reasonable price.

My sister and I spent a week in October at Porte de Camargue. We loved our room - very homey and clean. We found the owners, Bruno and Patrice, to be very warm and helpful in every way. The location is perfect, just across the bridge on the Trinquetaille side, away from the busy center of town but easily walkable in a matter of minutes.

We reserved garage space across the street from them, which I would highly recommend if you'll be traveling by car, since parking in Arles is for resident experts only. They offer breakfast until 10 a.m., for an additional (reasonable) fee, but we didn't take advantage of that, preferring to grab a croissant and coffee on our way into town.

This delightful little hotel was exactly what we were looking for during our six-night stay in Arles. The room wasn't huge, but it was immaculate, quaint, comfortable; clean linens on comfortable beds; the owners friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is on a quiet street a short walk over the bridge across the Rhone from the center of Arles.
For an extra 7 euros a day you can reserve parking in one of four single-car garages. The owner is willing to park it for you, because sometimes it's a tight squeeze with cars parked on both sides of the narrow street, but that just adds to the charm of this place.
If I'm ever lucky enough to go back to this piece of heaven, I hope the owners, Bruno and Patricia will have rooms available again.
