Oh Domi! How can I thank you for the wonderful time I spent in your home and with you?
I was also fortunate to be one of Domi's last guest (if I can call myself that). Domi welcomed me into her home with such grace and warmth! She picked me up from the train station and we chatted like old friends all the way home. I loved the peace and tranquility the Maison offered and immediately felt comfortable. It was nice to hear birds sing again.
I loved my room, and the Maison as a whole, and Domi was the consumate innkeeper/ hostess. She prepared such unexpected breakfast treats each day for us - one day it was omelets, another day crepes, another day her local specialty (a chick pea sausage), always fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, cheeses and meats, and lots of fresh breads and pastries. She made the best coffee and I can still taste if. Yum! I am a one-cup person but I had two cups each day while there.
I was fortunate to have met some really nice fellow- guests and it seemed like each group that came in were hand-picked and special and that made the experience all the better. This being a B&B most people went out for dinner but I was so comfortable that I asked Domi if I could just prepare dinner in her kitchen and she indulged me. I got a chance to do one of my favorite things - visit local markets and buy food. (Aix has one of the one of most amazing markets I have seen throughout my travels.) I got a chance to use my culinary skillsand prepared dinner each evening I stayed at the Maison.
I still remember our excursion to those wonderful little towns outside of Aix; I would not have seen those had you not taken the time to show them to me.
Thank you for everything Domi!
"Al le meilleur Domi et j'espère vous visiter bientôt dans votre nouvelle maison".
Amour, Chef Gail
