I stayed for 1 night in Hotel Heritage. It is located among the shops and cafes along a peaceful street, of which nearby is Hennessy, Martell and Camus cognac centres.
When we reached, we have adifficulty finding the hotel as its door was closed and from the outside, it looked more like a restaurant. Not much of a problem since we rang the doorbell to enquire.
The staff were ok, but not eager to provide more information nor to engage in friendly conversation with you. Is fine since we have done our own research on cognac.
The hotel has character with artistic charm, with beautiful drawings/ decorations but odd coloured walls. The room is clean but without air-conditioning which could be stuffy during summer. One major drawback is the thin walls- you can hear your neighbour's alarm clock ringing, and even every movement like plugging into sockets, opening and closing of doors which can greatly disturb your sleep.
Please do not pay 8€ for the breakfast. What we found were only a few pieces of pathetically burnt croissants, melted butter, blend natural flavoured yogurt and cereal and some fruits of which a few are going bad. When we requested for fruit yogurt, the staff pointed to the fruits and the natural yogurt. The only thing which looks appetising is probably the drinks.
