This hotel is OK for what we did, stay over en route for northern Spain. It is a basic hotel which has been done up, I would say stylishly, others did not agree. Main thing is use of bright colours, so a grey room with one old peice of furniture painted bordeux red, variations on that theme. But underneath the paint it is a plain, basic French provincial hotel for the full price. Rooms are large but quite barely furnished and noise carries.
My main gripe was the attitude of the owners. We arrived on a holiday and were made to feel that we were imposing and ruining what was supposed to be a holiday for them (I thought we were on holiday and paying). Same carried over to the next morning when I met the owner in the hall and said I would like to check out, but he then approached some French visitors and started up a long conversation keeping me waiiting at reception. Not quite sure what was wrong, but we did not seem to be their ideal or welcome guests.
