Our stay was pleasant enough and served its purpose which was as a stopover on route from the South to the North of France. It was impeccably clean but very basic and reminded me of a hostel. However, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The exhaust on our car had snapped in half and the man behind the desk went out of his way by phoning around and arranging for it to be fixed that same day - service up and beyond the call of duty for such a hotel. We were only a couple of minutes off the motorway and a five minute drive from the centre of town, so it is a very convenient place to stay for a stopover with a bit of exploring of the city if you so wish. If you want luxury don't stay here, but if you want something reasonable and convenient I give it the thumbs up.

We came to see the races at Le Mans and booked this room months in advance. Friends were shutout because they waited too long. The owner Vincent is really fun and gracious, and he provides a generous, tasty breakfast. The rooms are a little old fashioned but clean. And we appreciated Vincent's restaurant suggestions in the old town (des 7 Plats).

If you are nostalgic for your dorm room days of sharing a toilet with others on your floor, then this is the place for you.

The doors are heavy and loud; the rooms are spacious with no decor, but there are signs that the owners are trying. The hallways have new carpet and the decor here shows that the owners have taste.

In the morning, we were prepared to complain about the shared toilet on our floor that wasn't working, but the greeting we got from the owner who served us breakfast with a warm smile and incredible charm made any negative thoughts about the place disappear.

This is a family-run business that serves fresh eggs from the chickens out back. We felt at home and are optimistic about the place's future.

The bed was firm and comfortable and we did sleep well. The laughs we shared with the owner made for nice memories. Stay for breakfast before you complain.

Right on the outskirts of Le Mans, initially this looked great. The hotel is set in a good-sized lawned garden, with shady trees - ideal for warm summer evenings. Unfortunately our room (20) was very poorly maintained, and had been very crudely redecorated. A pity, really - we wanted to like it, but I don't think we'll be back.
