This was one of a number of lower star hotels bundled in to a Eurostar 2 for 1 offer. The others generally got dreadful reviews but you know what you're getting in a Campanile. Rather like its British cousins - travelodge etc - its an entirely standard layout. That said its good value, less than10 mins walk (the sign for it opposite the metro means next right for cars not the immediate right open to pedestrians by the dental clinic) from the metro and the fast metro is about 10 mins into Lille centre. We ate in one night which was fine and otherwise used the tea/coffee in the room [worth taking some extra perhaps] to tide us over until we got into the centre for breakfast. The "poor" rating in the Fr language review refers to the night time freight trains which might be an issue on that side of the hotel but didn't disturb us. Have used Campaniles before and would happily do so again. Clean, functional and cheap.
