Myself, my sister and my mother stayed here for 3 nights. Has to be the worse hotel either of us has ever stayed in.
Rooms were small and dingy, no friendly atmosphere.
The worst was the food. Could only be described as appalling. 'Salad' was wilted and warm. Water jug was dirty and undrinkable. During the course of one of the dinners a pubic hair was found on the food. That was the last time i set foot in the restaurant.

We stayed in The Tara earlier this month and I was surprised to see the poor rating the previous people made.
The rooms were modern and spotlesley clean, the staff were most helpful and spoke superb English.
The food was delicious and there was more than we could eat...we have a teenage son who could eat all day!
Value for money was quite simply remarkable...where else can you stay and have bed, breakfast and dinner for less than£50 per day.
We will be going back to Lourdes next year and we will be staying in The Tara Hotel again

My husband and I stayed in the Tara in October 2004 For 5 nights.It was a 40th Wedding anniversary Gift from the family Flights Hotel Pilgrimage to lourdes all paid in advance.
We did not like the Tara Hotel it was old fashioned , old dark timber, lifts dark , small single beds, But the food was the worst we ever got anywhere ,It has never left our mind after all those year.We only got a computer lately and found I could write a review about the Hotel thats the reason for the delay
The Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner was terrible.
We had to make our own tea and toast each morning there was a crowd waiting for the one toaster so it was a long delay , no choice of fruit or cooked breakfast.
Dinner and Lunch was the worst ,the same every day One large basin of soup left in the centre of table`with ladel in it , to serve ourselves, we shared the table with a young couple from midlands of Ireland, If you were late comming to the table the soup was almost cold .Dinner was the same a Basin of Soup and tasteless.We have told several of our friends not to stay in the Tara who were planning a Pilgrimage to lourdes.as I said It never left our mind ,hope it will save others from getting this shoddy accommodation.

spent 5 days in the Tara hotel and found it very shabby,
2 lifts
1 in the reception area had names scratched in the wood panelling.
the other lift had the glass panel missing showing the number of the floor we were going to
the doors of the rooms were of vthe darkest, brownest wood colour.
single beds were so small
room were very small
only 1 socket in room (outside bathroom door up high )
meals in restaurant were meager to say the least.

would not recommend this hotel to anyone
