“Poor Value for money”

We chose this from Trip Adviser reviews. It was disappointing. Our room was not up to standard for the price. A bit "tired" and cheaply furnished. The hotel is resting on its laurels and needs some TLC. The garden is indeed lovely and the position excellent in this very pretty town. It's also quiet. But we would not go back until the rooms are upgraded.

This charming old family house has a big success also because it's not comparable to any commun hotel. All rooms different and suites to farious sensiblities.
Every year we profit on the winter closure till eastern to upgrade some of the rooms if needed.
We are always taking care about all kind of comments and a lot gratulate about the quality on our house and services.

“Love at first site”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

This is just a super property. It's well located to tour the town, peaceful and charming. Our room was adequate in size, bathroom was nice. The grounds are beautiful, with multiple seating areas, a fountain, swimming pool and shade trees. Perfect for a glass of wine in the courtyard in the afternoon. Breakfast was typical for France.
Would definitely return here.

“Great location, nice hotel, very helpful staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

The location makes this a great place to stay, although it's hard to find. There's no restaurant (just a dining area for breakfast) but there are several eating places within a few minutes walk. It's clean, has nice rooms and friendly staff . It also had a lovely heated pool and carparking spaces (you need to book these and pay extra). Would definitely recommend it.

“Horrible Kitsch Room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

I just spent last weekend in this hotel, and i have to say that i did not like it, i booked it because i read all those nice comments, but believe me, the room i got was just horrible.
I booked a "privilege room", which is suppose to be better , so it is more expensive than the "tradition room", when i saw the room , i asked if there was a mistake, but they told me, "no, this is a privilage room".. oh god.. i could not believe it.. the hotel has a good potential, but how it possible to have furniture broken, or full of holes of termites (don't worry no termites in there anymore)... arg...corridors of the rooms with cracks on the walls and few spiderwebs..and the deco of my room was so kitsch!!

The only good thing about this hotel is the garden, which is wonderful. So my tip is: book the room downstair with acces to the private garden. The hotel has a very good location to move around the city and with a short walking distante to the sea..

Room Tip: A late arrival means no option to change your room if you don't like it..

“A real individual gem, in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We had stayed here before and had such an enchanting time we decided to stay again. 4 years later.

It was like time had stood still, nothing had changed.......that's great, because we loved it the way it was.

All the bedrooms are quirky shapes and sizes due to the nature of the old building they are in. Therefore, each time you stay is a new experience in a new room. We were on the top floor up in the beams, beautiful, if a little hot! The bathroom was just 'ok' mainly as it had been squeezed into an odd shape in an old building, there's the compromise I suppose, we didn't mind.
The garden area is beautiful and you could easily spend the day just sitting and reading there, even tho the town is a minutes walk from the hotel's door.

A little treasure this hotel and I have a feeling we will stay there again.
