“Excellent location”

Stayed for three nights with Dany at this wonderful B&B. The rooms were clean, bathroom quite spacious with a small deck for each room. The area is quite private and very quiet. The B&B is a short five minute walk to the ancient city which is also visable from the lounging area next to the pool. Breakfast was super. Dany and her son were excellentr hosts, attentive and helpful and while the lovely Dany does not speak English, her son is bilingual and a charmer, like his mom.. I would recommend this B&B highly for anyone. Oh, yes, they have a great new puupy who is quite a pooch.

Room Tip: This a small B&B all the rooms are the same.

“Terrific find, ideally location, excellent accommodation”

A superb B&B with everything you could hope for for a short break. Lovely sized rooms, exceptionally clean, a very warm and hospitable welcome from Ben and Dany and discreet but very attentive service. Delicious breakfasts to start the day and only a 5 minute walk to the old city. Initially we were a little uncertain as we drove through the back street to the B&B, but the view on arrival over the old city is stunning. If we had one complaint it would be that the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Thank you for a lovely couple of nights.

“An oasis of calm by the Citie”

We arrived to a welcome at the gate, by the owner Benoit who proceeded to show us to his splendid guest house and our room for the night. As there was four of us we had two superb rooms next to one another. They were both decorated to a very high standard, matched by a high standard of cleanliness with an exceptional ensuite bathroom. If only all hotels were this good!!

Benoit explained how everything worked and the arrrangements for breakfast. Being mid October we were fortunate to be able to rest after the journey by the pool in autumn sunshine surrounded by the extensive gardens.

The location of this property allows you to easily walk to the medievil citie you have been viewing from the garden. Absolutely no need to take the car.

The breakfast did not disappoint with a selection to please the most demanding guest.

Considering it wass near the end of the summer season their was no sign of weariness in the welcome and in the room.

The whole experience was one of excellence at a value for money price that would be hard to surpass.

Room Tip: We dined at the Marquiere restaurant in the Citie which we can heartly recommend

“WOW!”

My wife and I stayed one night in September 2011. We picked the B&B after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Host Benoit was gracious and very helpful. When our GPS failed to find the place and sent us on a wild chase, Benoit came to guide us to the property (which should have been easy to find, it's just our GPS that has issues). The accommodations were very clean, updated, comfy, quiet, everything we could have expected. Breakfast was good, with variety (which is not usually the case in France). I would have liked more fruits, which is truly the only detail that did not match my expectations. And what a view of the fortress! Amazing location!

“A haven of peace amongst a busy tourist attraction”

We are just back from spending 3 nights at Le Jardin de la Cite. We booked it purely on the excellent recommendations by previous reviewers on TA. We were made welcome by Ben who ensured that we were comfortable, he supplied us with a map and made recommendations of what to see and where to eat.

The room was clean and welcoming, the bathroom very modern with lots of lovely hot water. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, with lots of pillows - a fault of some B&B's who provide one only and seem rather upset if you ask for another one!

Having read previous reviews we were aware that the guest house was not easy to find. So armed with directions from Via Michelin we were fairly confident, but even their directions weren't clear. Eventually after a phone call we found our destination. In fact we had driven past it twice! Simple directions for those with no G.P.S. From which ever direction you arrive at Carcassonne simply follow signs to La Cite. The road is then signposted La Cite 2000 parking places (or something on those lines) Follow this road, go down the hill, going slowly. The road splits and the sharp right turn goes to the first lot of car parks, the main road continues on round a sharp bend. BEFORE the bend and on that junction more or less IN FRONT of you is La Jardin de la Cite. The sign is yellow and brown. On the right is a no entry sign for buses and the entrance is immediately before that. It's so obvious once you see it.

The views of the Cite are magnificent particularly at night. We travelled in October (4-7) and spent 3 nights there. There were not as many tourists but the majority of restaurants and gift shops were open still. We had an excellent meal at Auberge Duc du D'oc, they had a special offer on with a bottle of wine to take away if you bought a €25 menu or higher, we left with 2 bottles which we hadn't expected as nothing had been mentioned at any time whilst we were there!

Room Tip: We had a room that cost €100 per night inc. a huge breakfast. It was very comfortable with a private...
