Ideally situated hotel with parking. Very friendly staff, who were willing to help and advise on all aspects of our stay. The rooms are just big enough but the bed was huge!.
Great place to stay when visiting Paris for a few days. Versailles town has plenty to offer besides the chateau.
the hotel was fine for a city trip to versailles and a daytrip to paris city. the location was pretty well and the breakfast was fine.
there was also a parking space with the hotel for only 11euro's a day.
all by all, it was a nice stay...
greetings
We drove into Versailles with no accommodation arranged - the web said the Ibis was fully booked, however as often happens we obtained a room because of a "no show" guest.
The hotel is just a few hundred metres from the palace (the queue at the Palace was a longer trek!). The hotel has on-site parking - though it is a challenge getting into the subterranean bays.
The trip into Paris on the train is about 30 minutes and costs almost nothing. The station is about a hundred metres away, the trains are very frequent and the line goes to the Eiffel tower and along the river, you would have to try very hard to get lost!
The rooms are like every other Ibis, clean efficient an simple and of course not exactly large!
Notably the food (breakfast) was exceptional and very good value. For the evening meal there are dozens of restaurants of all types within a five minute walk and I can say without hesitation that our two nights here provided some of the best sightseeing and nightlife of our holiday.
It would be tempting to stay here and commute into Paris rather than brave the traffic.
Great service, very friendly staff and so helpful 10 out of 10 !
This is a standard Ibis hotel so you don't expect huge rooms and luxury. What you do expect - and get - is a comfortable room with everything you need and a decent price.
The bonus with this hotel (where we have stayed several times) is its absolutely terrific location in Versailles. You're a short walk from the palace and the centre of town, and just across the road from the main RER (railway) station into Paris. You can't do better than that in Versailles, and certainly not for the price.
In addition, we found that the breakfast is definitely an option worth taking - it's very complete for a hotel of this type and the food is fresh, copious, and with sufficient variety to keep most people happy.
