After spending 1 night in the Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg (great experience, see other review), we had to change hotels since Observatoire was fully booked in they suggested this one with a special rate… a taxi picked us up and we were taken there…
The hotel has a “luxurious-modernish-spa” feeling, service at check-in was super efficient, warm and friendly, what you would expect in a 5 star hotel… we were give a room in the 1st floor… 1 window with view to central courtyard (that is, no view), quite silent, on the smaller side, with a big bathroom… the room is furnished in a modern way in brownish colors… there is a small desk, comfortable mattress, nice bedding, flat screen tv and a nice-size bathroom… however, very limited space for the luggage… typical of European hotels…
The clientele of the hotel seemed pretty upscale, some European families and young couples… the location is good if you want to experience a more authentic high profile Parisian neighborhood… not really walking distance (doable but not super close) from the main attractions in Paris, but with a metro station less than 1 block away… next door there is an organic supermarket offering all sorts of healthy foods at reasonable prices…
Breakfast (delicious) was included and it was the standard for Parisian standards, with the addition of a hot buffet with eggs, ham and sausages… the service was very attentive and courteous at all times…
In general we enjoyed our stay at Le Six… however, value for money, maybe I would prefer the Hotel Observatoire, apparently part of the same group…
