In the very crowdy center of Montmatre, la Bonne Franquette offers a fair value for money. They have many different menus for all prices, a couple of very large dining rooms and the service is used to large groups. Indeed it is not very cheap but still it is reasonable compared with some expensive poor restaurants in the area.

Wood paneling ,fantastic atmosphere,music , an amazing garden ,bar and outside terrace all makes this gem a wonderful place to visit .Its busy as its in the heart of Montmatre ,so booking would be a good idea if visiting in the evenings, if you want live music: singer-pianist and accordions in the Caberet room . it has a wine bar and a "pub" which makes it a good all rounder for different tastes and budgets.Fantastic food and service, and ambience to match.giving it that french atmosphere that you see in old movies. Inside is just as attractive as outside.As most places in the area it claims to have had every "Artist and Musician or famous writer" dine or drink here .
Prices can get on the high side ,set menus are the best way to eat for value or search the internet for deals and specials .
For a tourist type restaurant I'd say , yes, vistit and enjoy the atmosphere .
