We booked 5 nights at this hotel 5 weeks before arrival. When arriving at the hotel (at late night), we were informed by the receptionist that there were no rooms for us before the day after! They knew this for two weeks, but did'nt bother to call and inform us. They was willing to find us another hotel for the night, but we had to get there ourselves, eventhough they had made a mistake. After a tiring discussion, the receptionist called a taxi for us. He was, by the way, very rude and had only bad excuses for not calling us to inform about the situation before our arrival.
Well, we went to the other hotel (at Rue de Rocquette at Bastille), just to become acquianted with another disgusting place! Unfortuneatly, we had to stay there as everything else was fully booked in the area nearby and the rest of Paris because of a big car fair. And what a night at this place - bed bug bites and bad service is what we got out of the 80 Euros we prepaid for one night!! The next day, we were lucky to find another place that was clean and with a friendly staff (Hotel Daval - near the Bastille).
We cannot recommend this place!!! The worst service and circumstances ever!

My friend and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. After reading the awful things some people have said about this hotel I must admit I was slightly apprehensive about staying here, but there was really no need. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely old lady who owns the hotel. My french is very basic and yes she doesnt speak english....but she lives in France where the language is French ( Hello people!!). But with the help of my semi 'get by french' friend and a phrase book we managed to book in with no probs. She has a beautiful dog, who is quite shy! Our room (605) was basic, but thats what you pay for and we were expecting far worse to be honest. The views of the park and surrounding houses are great. I felt right at home and quite Parisian staying here, and will quite happilly recomend this hotel to friends! I hope to return soon and visit the parts of Paris that we didnt quite get to see!

when we stayed in this hotel we noticed our bedsheets with blood stain, so we ask the little old lady on the reception to change our sheets and so it was changed.. but when we woke up the next day, we have rashes all over our body, this hotel is infested with bed bugs... so this means that this place is very unsanitary.. pls dont go to this hotel..instead of enjoying my vacation, i now have rashes all over my face, neck and arms, got bitten by a lot of bedbugs....

We stayed two nights in small standard room. The bathroom was very small and the matras was way too soft. The old lady at the reception didn't bother to explain anything to us and she couldn't speak English. Luckily another staffmember (a young man) could speak English well and he was able to explain some things to us like the wi-fi. Internet is free but only worked occasionally. On the morning we had to check-out a lady entered our room with a reserve key at 9.30 AM but the check-out time was 11 AM.
